From Wałbrzych, Świdnica and Dzierżoniów your goods reach the Czech Republic in 1–2 days; Prague is only about 210 km away by road, Brno about 250 km, and a truck gets to Trutnov or Náchod in roughly an hour.
A special economic zone that stops just short of the Krkonoše
The Wałbrzych special economic zone has subzones spread across the Sudeten foothills. Many plants sit only 30 to 60 km from the Czech border, which makes them unusually close suppliers for Czech assembly lines:
- Wałbrzych – engines and engine components for passenger cars, parts for automotive suppliers.
- Świdnica – car parts, metal components and engineering in the industrial area on the Wrocław road.
- Dzierżoniów – household appliances and electronics: light, bulky and shock-sensitive goods.
- Kamienna Góra – production sites right on the way to the Lubawka – Královec crossing.
- Nowa Ruda and Jelenia Góra – smaller subzones for extra pick-ups towards Náchod in the east or to the west.
Three crossings, three Czech regions
The border with the Hradec Králové region is closer to Wałbrzych than Wrocław is. We choose the crossing by where the goods are unloaded:
| Crossing | Beyond the border | Suits deliveries to |
|---|---|---|
| Lubawka – Královec | Žacléř, Trutnov, then the D11 at Jaroměř | the Trutnov area, Hradec Králové, Mladá Boleslav and Prague on the D11 |
| Golińsk – Starostín | Meziměstí, Broumov | the Broumov and Police area; mainly for smaller vehicles, we check truck restrictions |
| Kudowa-Słone – Náchod | Náchod, Česká Skalice | the Náchod area, Hradec Králové, Pardubice, Svitavy and on to Moravia |
For Brno and Olomouc we usually go via Kudowa and Náchod, for Prague via Královec and Trutnov. Polish e-TOLL and Czech toll on the D11 and other roads are included in the price we quote.
Appliances from Dzierżoniów and engine parts: two opposite loads
Washing machines, dryers and electronics from Dzierżoniów fill a trailer long before its payload is reached. Carton height and whether units may be stacked decide the count; each unit is secured so it cannot slide into the headboard under braking. Electronic modules in antistatic packaging ride in closed containers. Engine parts from Wałbrzych are the opposite – small and heavy: steel racks go on by forklift, the weight is spread along the deck and every rack is strapped. Czech plants work to precise time windows; empty racks and returnable containers can head back to Wałbrzych or Świdnica on the return leg.
A border without checks, tolls and holidays
Poland and the Czech Republic are in the EU and Schengen, so the goods need no customs papers and there is no waiting at Královec or Náchod. Heavy trucks do not run on Polish public holidays or on Czech Sunday afternoons – before Polish holidays we load a day earlier.
