From Esztergom, Tatabánya and Komárom we deliver to the Czech Republic usually in 2–3 days; Brno is about 320 km away, Prague about 520 km, and Komárno, Nové Zámky or Nitra across the Danube can often be served the same day.
Where Komárom-Esztergom County manufactures
- Esztergom – a car plant and its suppliers; besides parts, the main flow from here is empty racks and totes going back to Czech and Slovak component makers.
- Tatabánya – an industrial park on the M1 motorway: a tyre plant, electronics assembly and car parts.
- Komárom – an industrial park by the Danube with electronics and automotive parts, a few kilometres from the bridge into Slovakia.
- Oroszlány – an industrial zone south of Tatabánya making metal and plastic parts for car plants.
- Dorog and Tata – smaller manufacturers whose pallets we add to a pick-up in Esztergom or Tatabánya.
Crossing the Danube: which bridge for which vehicle
Here the Danube is the border with Slovakia, so the choice of crossing shapes the route and the order of deliveries:
| Crossing | Who uses it | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Esztergom – Štúrovo (Mária Valéria Bridge) | cars and light vans; the bridge has a weight limit, heavy trucks do not cross here | urgent vans with a few pallets to Štúrovo, Nové Zámky or Levice |
| Komárom – Komárno, new bridge | trucks of all sizes | southern Slovakia (Komárno, Nové Zámky, Nitra) and via Dunajská Streda to Bratislava and the D2 to Brno |
| Komárom – Komárno, old bridge | mainly car traffic; heavy vehicles use the new bridge | freight only exceptionally |
| M1 motorway via Győr – Rajka/Čunovo | trucks, motorway all the way | Bratislava, Brno, Prague and western Slovakia |
Tatabánya sits on the M1, so goods from there mostly run via Győr and Rajka, past Bratislava onto the D2 and through Břeclav to Brno. A heavy truck from Esztergom follows the Danube to Komárom and only crosses into Slovakia there. Hungarian HU-GO tolls and the Slovak and Czech tolls are included in the quoted price. All three countries are in Schengen and EU goods are not cleared through customs. Trucks over 7.5 t face weekend and public-holiday restrictions in Hungary.
Line-side parts and empties from Esztergom
For Czech and Slovak suppliers of the Esztergom car plant the most frequent job is the return run: empty steel racks, mesh boxes and plastic totes must come back so they can be filled again. Collapsible packaging is light and bulky, so loading metres count, not tonnes. We combine these empties with parts from the Tatabánya and Komárom parks so the truck does not leave Hungary half empty. Tyres from Tatabánya behave the same way – they fill the floor before the payload, which is why a high-cube trailer suits them.
How to request a quote from the Danube strip
Send us the loading point, the delivery address in the Czech Republic or Slovakia, the number of pallets or racks and whether it is full goods or empties. For timed pick-ups add the plant's slot. You receive a price within 30 minutes during office hours and, after confirmation, a vehicle usually within 24 hours. A full truck takes 33 euro pallets on 13.6 loading metres; smaller consignments go by groupage from 1 pallet or by van.
