From Rzeszów and Subcarpathia we bring goods to the Czech Republic usually within 1–2 days from loading; Brno is about 500 km away, Prague about 700 km.
Aviation Valley: high-value parts from Rzeszów and Mielec
Around Rzeszów, Mielec and Krosno there is a cluster of aerospace component makers known as Aviation Valley. Machined parts, engine and gearbox components and precision castings leave from here, often small in volume but high in value. For such shipments we follow a few rules:
- a closed box vehicle and a direct run from the manufacturer to the consignee, with no transhipment,
- crates on skids for forklifts, secured with straps and anti-slip mats,
- nothing stacked on the crates unless the shipper explicitly allows it,
- shock and tilt indicators on the packaging stay untouched and are checked by the consignee on delivery,
- the delivery time is announced in advance so the parts don’t wait at the dock.
What else Subcarpathia makes
- Dębica – a large tyre plant on the A4 motorway.
- Krosno – glassworks producing tableware and decorative glass, plus aerospace parts.
- Mielec – Poland’s first special economic zone, with aerospace, automotive and wood production.
- Jasionka – Rzeszów airport with warehouses and a technology park right by the A4.
- Stalowa Wola – construction and heavy machinery and their spare parts in the north of the region.
The A4 to the Czech Republic, or Barwinek into Slovakia
| Destination | Route | Border | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ostrava, Olomouc, Brno, Prague | A4 via Tarnów, Kraków and Katowice, A1, D1 | Gorzyczki – Věřňovice | Brno about 500 km, Prague about 700 km; the Kraków–Katowice A4 section is tolled |
| Prešov, Košice, eastern Slovakia | south via Krosno and Dukla, then via Svidník | Barwinek – Vyšný Komárnik | shortest way; a mountain stretch over the Dukla Pass in winter |
| Žilina, Martin, Bratislava | A4 to Kraków and on south, or via Ostrava | Chyżne – Trstená or Gorzyczki | chosen by delivery point and whether a Czech drop can be added |
The Polish e-TOLL, the A4 toll section and the Czech and Slovak tolls are always part of the price we quote. Trucks over 12 t face driving restrictions in Poland on public holidays and summer holiday weekends, which we plan around.
How we carry tyres, glass and machine parts
Tyres from Dębica travel loose-stacked in a closed trailer or in pallet racks. Glass from Krosno must be firmly wrapped on pallets, with edge protection and a “do not stack” label, and it travels without transhipment. Spare parts and smaller machines from Stalowa Wola go on pallets or timber bearers; for larger items we need dimensions and weight. A full truck takes 33 euro pallets, 13.6 loading metres and about 24 t; for a few pallets we arrange a van for around 5 or 10 pallets or groupage from 1 pallet. Poland is in the EU, so goods travel duty-free, and we deliver anywhere in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
