From Constanța and the other Black Sea ports we deliver to the Czech Republic usually in 3–4 days from loading; Brno is about 1,400 km away and Prague about 1,600 km, so Moravia and Slovakia come before Bohemia.
Where we load in and around Constanța
- Constanța South / Agigea – the container terminal where the Danube–Black Sea Canal meets the sea, plus warehouses and transfer yards in the port zone.
- Constanța – northern port – steel, break-bulk cargo and new cars off ro-ro vessels.
- Midia near Năvodari – a smaller port north of the city linked to the canal.
- Medgidia – building materials and cement, warehouses along the canal.
- Mangalia – the shipyard: parts, fittings and machinery.
Black Sea containers: terminal pick-up and customs release
Cargo that reaches Constanța from outside the EU (Asia, Turkey or other Black Sea countries) has to be cleared before it leaves. That is the job of the importer's customs agent, who either releases the goods into free circulation in Romania or opens a transit procedure to a customs office in the Czech Republic or Slovakia. We arrange the road haulage.
- The customs agent confirms release or opens the transit.
- The shipping line releases the box and the terminal allocates a time slot.
- The container is either stripped in a port-zone warehouse and the goods continue on a standard trailer, or it travels on a chassis straight to the consignee.
- The empty box returns wherever the shipping line says – over 1,400 km that is why we usually unload near the port.
The A2/A1 corridor: across the Danube, Bucharest and the Carpathians to Arad
From Constanța the A2 crosses the Danube at Cernavodă and Fetești to Bucharest, then the truck skirts the capital onto the A1 to Pitești. It crosses the Carpathians through the Olt valley to Sibiu and follows the A1 via Deva and Arad to the Nădlac border crossing. In Hungary it takes the M43 to Szeged and the M5 to Budapest, then the M1 via Rajka to Bratislava and the D2 to Brno. Romania has been a full Schengen member since 1 January 2025, so there are no systematic checks at Nădlac. The Romanian rovinieta, the Danube bridge toll, Hungary's HU-GO and the Slovak and Czech tolls are all included in the price we quote. Romania and Hungary have their own weekend, holiday and summer restrictions for heavy trucks, which we build into the schedule.
What to include in a Constanța enquiry
- terminal or warehouse, and for containers the type and number,
- customs status (free circulation or transit),
- number of pallets or pieces, weight, dimensions for machinery,
- delivery point in the Czech Republic or Slovakia.
You get the quote within 30 minutes in office hours, and we usually arrange the vehicle within 24 hours of confirmation. Smaller consignments go as groupage from one pallet; a full truck takes 33 euro pallets.
