What is the route from the Czech Republic to Lithuania?

We reach Lithuania through Poland along the Via Baltica. From the Czech Republic the route runs via Wrocław or Katowice to Warsaw, then along the S8 and S61 via Białystok and Augustów to the Budzisko–Kalvarija border crossing. Prague to Kaunas is about 1,050 km, Vilnius around 1,150 km and the port of Klaipėda roughly 1,250 km.

From Ostrava and Moravia the route via Katowice is 150–200 km shorter. It runs inside Schengen without border checks, and the shipment usually reaches the consignee within 2 days of loading.

Where we go in Lithuania – industrial centres

We most often head to these cities and industrial areas with manufacturing and automotive companies:

  • Kaunas – logistics
  • Klaipėda – port
  • Šiauliai – production
  • Panevėžys – furniture, food

What do we transport to Lithuania?

To Lithuania we carry engineering parts, building materials, glass, packaging and pallets for the industrial zones in Kaunas, Vilnius and Šiauliai. We also run regularly to the port of Klaipėda, where goods continue by sea to Scandinavia.

Lithuanian industrial and free economic zones (Kaunas, Klaipėda) have their own gate checks, so we announce the driver's name and plate number in advance.

Which tolls and rules apply in Lithuania?

  • Tolls on the route: Poland charges the distance-based e-TOLL. Lithuania levies a time-based vignette on trucks over 3.5 t and switches to a distance-based toll on 1 January 2027.
  • Driving ban: Lithuania has no weekend truck ban. Only the Polish restrictions on public holidays and in the summer season apply on the way.
  • Borders: the border with Poland is inside Schengen. Lithuania's borders with Belarus and Russia (Kaliningrad) are external EU borders – we do not go there.
  • Currency: Lithuania uses the euro, and goods within the EU travel without customs duty.
