From Trenčín and the Váh valley goods reach the Czech Republic within 1 day – to eastern Moravia over the White Carpathians it is often just a few hours' drive, to Brno about 260 km and to Prague about 460 km.
The shortest international run: Púchov in the morning, Zlín in the afternoon
Only the ridge of the White Carpathians separates the Trenčín region from Moravia, so a shipment can be loaded and delivered in one working day. A typical sequence:
- Around 7:00 – loading tyres or parts in Púchov or Považská Bystrica.
- Mid-morning – an extra pick-up in Dubnica nad Váhom or Trenčín, then on towards Nemšová.
- Crossing the border – over the Vlára pass at Horné Srnie/Brumov towards Valašské Klobouky and Zlín, or from Trenčín via Drietoma and Starý Hrozenkov to Uherský Brod and Uherské Hradiště.
- Afternoon – unloading in Zlín, Otrokovice, Uherské Hradiště or Kroměříž.
- Evening – for addresses further on, the vehicle continues towards Brno or Olomouc and unloads in the morning.
For Brno and Bohemia we pick, depending on traffic, either the road via Uherský Brod or the D1 motorway past Nové Mesto nad Váhom and Piešťany to Trnava and Bratislava, then the D2 via Lanžhot.
What the Váh valley makes
- Púchov – car and truck tyres, plus rubber products.
- Dubnica nad Váhom – engineering, metalworking and automotive parts in the industrial park.
- Považská Bystrica – machined parts, components for car plants and assemblies.
- Nové Mesto nad Váhom – assembly and metalworking along the D1 motorway.
- Trenčín – electrical engineering, machine parts and stand equipment for the local exhibition grounds.
Tyres are light but fill the whole trailer
With tyres, volume decides, not weight. Car tyres are loaded loose in a laced pattern or laid flat in rows up to the roof, so the truck is full long before it nears its 24 t payload. That is why we need the number of pieces and the tyre size, not only the weight. Tyres in cage pallets are counted per pallet – 33 places per trailer. Truck tyres are heavier and usually stand on pallets or are stacked and held with straps. For parts from Dubnica and Považská Bystrica a curtainsider is fine, or for smaller deliveries to a production line a van for roughly 5 to 10 pallets.
Tolls, weekends and a border without checks
Slovakia and the Czech Republic are both in the EU and Schengen, nobody stops at the crossings and the goods need no customs papers. Both countries' electronic tolls are included in the price we quote. In the Czech Republic vehicles over 7.5 t may not drive on Sundays and public holidays between 13:00 and 22:00 – so a Friday collection in Púchov usually ends with delivery that same Friday or on Monday morning.
How to send us a Trenčín enquiry
A short email or call is enough: where from (Trenčín, Púchov, Dubnica…), where to in the Czech Republic or Slovakia, how many pallets or tyres, and by when the goods must arrive. You get a price within 30 minutes in office hours. On this short route we often arrange the vehicle the same or next day after confirmation, and groupage starts at one pallet.
