From Heilbronn, Neckarsulm, Bad Friedrichshall, Öhringen, Künzelsau and Schwäbisch Hall we arrange transport to plants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. From a half pallet of screws to a full trailer of parts for an assembly line.

Heilbronn is about 440 km from Prague on a single motorway, the A6, all the way to the border, and goods arrive in 1–2 days; a morning loading in Neckarsulm is usually in the Czech Republic the next morning.

Heilbronn-Franconia: the car plant and screw-making Hohenlohe

The region has two faces. Neckarsulm has a large car plant that receives parts in fixed unloading windows. East of it, in Hohenlohe around Künzelsau and Öhringen, are makers of fasteners, fittings and industrial fans. Their goods are small but surprisingly heavy.

GoodsTypical packingWhat fills the truck
screws, nuts, anchors, fittingssmall cartons on half pallets or euro palletsweight – the trailer is full while the floor is half empty
fans and ventilation motorscartons or crates, often non-stackablevolume – light but bulky
parts for the Neckarsulm car plantreturnable bins and steel racksnumber of racks and the line time window
packaging machines from Schwäbisch Hallcrates or machine on skidsdimensions, crane or side loading
salt from Bad Friedrichshallsacks and big bags on palletsweight

For screws from Künzelsau we therefore plan in kilograms: half pallets are spread along the whole trailer so the weight is shared between axles, and heavy cartons are not stacked high. One run can then combine heavy fittings with light fans – one fills the tonnage, the other the space.

Along the A6 via Crailsheim and Nuremberg to Rozvadov

From Heilbronn the A6 runs past Weinsberg, Öhringen and Crailsheim to Nuremberg and on via Amberg to the Waidhaus – Rozvadov crossing. Beyond the border the truck takes the D5 past Plzeň to Prague and from there the D1 to Brno and into Slovakia – Trnava, Nitra, Žilina and further east. German and Czech tolls are included in the price we work out for you. Brno is about 650 km from Heilbronn.

On Sundays and public holidays vehicles over 7.5 t may not drive in Germany from 0:00 to 22:00. Baden-Württemberg also observes Epiphany, Corpus Christi and All Saints' Day; we bring loadings forward before those days.

Line deliveries: windows, racks, empties

  • For the car plant and for Czech plants with fixed receiving times the truck leaves with a margin and we announce its arrival.
  • Empty racks and bins from the Czech line go back to Neckarsulm as a return load.
  • Control electronics for fans stay in ESD packaging and in a closed vehicle.
  • Goods from Heilbronn's Neckar port continue by truck; goods from outside the EU must be cleared before loading.

A full truck carries 33 euro pallets, 13.6 loading metres and about 24 t; with fasteners you always hit the tonnes first. Groupage starts at 1 pallet, and a van takes smaller urgent parts. Goods from Germany travel without customs.

How to send us a request from Heilbronn

We need the loading address, number and type of pallets (euro pallets or half pallets), total weight and whether the pallets may be stacked. If the goods must arrive within a time window, tell us. In office hours we reply with a price within 30 minutes and usually arrange a vehicle within 24 hours of confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

How long do parts from Neckarsulm take to Plzeň or Prague?
1–2 days. Heilbronn is about 440 km from Prague with Plzeň on the way, so a morning loading is usually in the Czech Republic the next morning.
Why is a trailer of screws from Künzelsau full when it looks half empty?
Fasteners are very heavy for their volume. The trailer reaches about 24 t before the floor is covered, so we plan by weight.
Do you carry goods on half pallets?
Yes. We spread half pallets along the trailer so the weight is not over one axle; give us the number and weight of each in the request.
Can heavy cartons of fittings be stacked?
Only to a limited extent. We do not stack heavy cartons high so the bottom ones do not give way; if the pallets are non-stackable, say so in advance.
Can screws from Künzelsau and fans from Öhringen share one truck?
Yes, and it pays off. Heavy fittings fill the tonnage, light fans the remaining space, and both towns are close to the A6.
Will parts from Neckarsulm meet the unloading window at a Czech car plant?
Yes. The truck leaves with a time margin and we announce its arrival; send us the window and the dock number.
Who takes the Neckarsulm stillages home once our Czech line has emptied them?
We do – the same truck reloads them after unloading the full parts. On weekly runs the empties count is part of the plan.
Is it really one motorway from Heilbronn to the Bohemian border?
Yes, the A6 runs all the way: Öhringen, Crailsheim, Nuremberg, Amberg and Waidhaus. At Rozvadov it becomes the Czech D5.
Can you carry a packaging machine from Schwäbisch Hall?
Yes. A crated machine or one on skids is loaded by crane or from the side; send dimensions, weight and lifting points.
Do you collect bagged salt from Bad Friedrichshall before winter?
Yes, as a full or part load. Salt is heavy, so weight decides here too; in autumn it is wise to book early.
Will you pick up goods at Heilbronn's Neckar port?
Yes, and truck them on to the Czech Republic or Slovakia. Goods from third countries must be cleared before loading.
What about wine from the vineyards around Heilbronn?
We carry it in cartons on pallets in a closed vehicle. Wine travels with the excise movement document issued by the shipper.
When is there no loading in Heilbronn because of a holiday?
Besides Sundays, on Epiphany, Corpus Christi and All Saints' Day – public holidays in Baden-Württemberg when vehicles over 7.5 t stand from 0:00 to 22:00.
Do you deliver from Heilbronn to Žilina or Košice?
Yes. Brno is about 650 km away and the truck continues along the D1 across Slovakia to any plant.
Will A6 and D5 motorway charges appear as an extra on a Heilbronn invoice?
No. German Maut and the Czech toll are already counted in the figure we quote, right up to your gate.
