From Szeged and the vegetable-growing villages around it we deliver to the Czech Republic usually in 2–3 days from loading – Brno is about 500 km away, Prague about 690 km, and drops in Slovakia lie on the way.
Paprika, onions and greenhouses: what the Szeged area grows and processes
- Szeged – ground paprika, salami and cured meats, food processing and a wholesale vegetable market.
- Makó – the well-known Makó onion, bagged out of storage for most of the year.
- Szentes – greenhouses heated with thermal water: peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers.
- Hódmezővásárhely – farms, vegetable processing and ceramics.
- Kiskunfélegyháza and Csongrád – fruit, vegetables and food plants along the M5 and the Tisza.
Seasons and how Szeged produce travels

| Makó onions | harvested in summer, then shipped from storage through winter | mesh sacks on pallets, the load must breathe; frost protection in winter |
| Tomatoes and cucumbers from Szentes | most of the year thanks to heated greenhouses | crates on pallets in a reefer |
| Salami and cured meats | year-round, more before Christmas | reefer, smaller lots by van |
Up the M5 and through Bratislava to Brno
From Szeged the M5 motorway runs straight north via Kiskunfélegyháza and Kecskemét to Budapest. There the truck uses the M0 ring to reach the M1 towards Győr and crosses at Rajka into Čunovo. After Bratislava it takes the D2 via Břeclav to Brno and the D1 to Bohemia. For central Slovakia (Zvolen, Banská Bystrica) it can leave Budapest via the Parassapuszta/Šahy crossing. The Röszke crossing into Serbia is right next to Szeged, but goods from Hungary never need it – the route stays inside the EU and customs-free. The Hungarian HU-GO toll and the Slovak and Czech tolls are included in the price. Hungary restricts trucks over 7.5 t at weekends and on public holidays, so we load fresh produce for a weekday departure.
