What gets loaded in Baranya, Tolna and Somogy

  • Villány and Siklós – red wines from Hungary's southernmost wine region, bottles in cartons on pallets.
  • Szekszárd – wines from the slopes above the Danube, often smaller lots for wine shops and restaurants.
  • Pécs – porcelain and ceramics from Pécs, products from the industrial zone on the edge of town.
  • Kaposvár – meat and food processing, both chilled and ambient goods.
  • Mohács – a Danube port serving grain, maize and sunflower farms; seed and animal feed in bags.

The route out of Pécs: M60 and M6 along the Danube, then Bratislava

From Pécs the M60 joins the M6, which runs north along the right bank of the Danube past Szekszárd and Dunaújváros to Budapest. The truck takes the M0 ring onto the M1 towards Győr and enters Slovakia at Rajka/Čunovo. After Bratislava it follows the D2 via Břeclav to Brno and the D1 on to Bohemia. Loads from Kaposvár can also head north to the M7 at Lake Balaton. Austria is not on the way. Hungary restricts trucks over 7.5 t at weekends and on public holidays, so we plan Friday collections with a margin. The Hungarian HU-GO toll and the Slovak and Czech tolls are included in the price we quote.

Frequently asked questions

What is the transit time for a load from Pécs to Brno?
Count on 2–3 days from loading. The truck covers about 540 km via the M6, Budapest and Bratislava.
Is Moravia nearer to Pécs than Bohemia?
Yes, the road north passes Bratislava and Břeclav, so Moravia comes first. Prague means roughly another 200 km on the D1.
Can you ship Villány wine to the Czech Republic?
Yes, bottled wine travels as full loads or by the pallet. Wine needs an excise document, which the shipper and consignee take care of.
How do I keep Szekszárd wine from overheating in summer?
In the hot months we recommend an insulated or reefer trailer with a set temperature. In winter the same vehicle protects the bottles from frost.
Will you carry fragile porcelain from Pécs?
Yes, if every piece is cushioned and the boxes do not overhang the pallet. For valuable consignments we suggest a dedicated vehicle so the goods skip the cross-dock.
Does the truck from Pécs drive through Austria?
Normally not. It uses Hungarian motorways to the Rajka/Čunovo crossing and continues through Slovakia.
Do you add HU-GO road charges on top of the quote?
No, Hungarian HU-GO charges are already built into our price, together with Slovak and Czech road tolls.
Can you load in Pécs on a Friday afternoon?
Yes, but Hungary restricts trucks over 7.5 t at weekends, so the truck may only continue once the restriction ends. Vehicles up to 7.5 t are not affected.
Can one truck collect in both Kaposvár and Pécs?
Yes, the towns are roughly an hour's drive apart, so one vehicle can do both. Send us both addresses and loading times.
Do you collect bagged seed or feed in Mohács?
Yes, bags on pallets go in a dry curtainsider. We need the pallet count and total weight.
How much bottled wine can one trailer take?
Space-wise 33 euro pallets, but wine is heavy and the roughly 24 t payload usually runs out first. Give us your pallet weights and we calculate the load.
Can goods from Pécs go to Bratislava or Nitra?
Yes, Bratislava is right on the route and Nitra is close by. We deliver anywhere in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Does a shipment from southern Hungary need customs papers?
No, EU goods travel without customs on a CMR consignment note and delivery note. The exception is the excise document for wine.
Do you move chilled cured meats from Kaposvár?
Yes, in a reefer at the temperature the shipper sets. Smaller quantities can share a vehicle with other chilled goods.
How fast can a vehicle be at a winery in Villány?
We send the quote within 30 minutes in office hours and usually arrange the vehicle within 24 hours of confirmation. The loading slot at the winery is agreed in advance.
