From Bielsko-Biała and Cieszyn Silesia your load reaches the Czech Republic in 1–2 days, yet Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek or Zlín are often reached the same day – Brno is about 230 km away and Prague about 430 km.
The factory belt below the Beskids, next door to Moravia-Silesia
Bielsko-Biała lies only some 40 km from the Czech border. For Moravian and Slovak plants it is the nearest Polish region making engines and car parts:
- Bielsko-Biała – engines and components for passenger cars, supplier parts in a subzone of the special economic zone, machine building and a long textile tradition.
- Czechowice-Dziedzice – household appliances and metalworking on industrial sites by the railway.
- Skoczów – metal goods and parts along the S52 expressway towards Cieszyn.
- Cieszyn – smaller metal and food producers right on the border with Český Těšín.
- Żywiec and Oświęcim – food production plus manufacturing and storage sites where smaller consignments can be added.
Pick the crossing by the delivery address
From the Silesian Beskids three sensible roads lead south. The destination in the Czech Republic or Slovakia decides which one we use:
| Crossing | Road | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Cieszyn – Český Těšín (Chotěbuz) | S52 from Bielsko, D48 on the Czech side | Třinec, Frýdek-Místek, Nový Jičín, Zlín; along the D48 to the D1 at Bělotín also Brno |
| Chałupki – Bohumín, A1/D1 motorway at Gorzyczki | to the A1, D1 in the Czech Republic | Ostrava, Bohumín, Olomouc, Brno and Prague on the D1 |
| Zwardoń – Skalité | S1 via Żywiec, then towards Čadca | Žilina, Martin, Púchov and other Slovak destinations |
Polish e-TOLL, Czech toll on the D48 and D1 and Slovak motorway charges are included in the price we quote. A truck loaded in Bielsko in the morning can unload in Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek or Zlín that day; for Bohemia it usually arrives the next morning.
Engines, parts and appliances for assembly lines
Engines and cylinder heads travel in steel racks or on special pallets – a lot of weight on a small footprint, so we watch axle loads and spread the racks along the trailer. Plastic and electronic car parts are sensitive to shock and static; they ride in closed containers and no position is overloaded by stacking. Appliances from Czechowice are the opposite: light and bulky, so carton height, not weight, decides how many positions you need. Czech assembly plants receive goods in fixed windows – we plan so the vehicle does not queue at the gate for nothing, and it can take empty racks and containers back to Poland.
Polish holidays, weekends and the border
Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are all in the EU and Schengen: no customs papers and no stop at the border. Poland and the Czech Republic ban heavy trucks on public holidays, and the Czech Republic also on Sunday afternoons, so before long weekends we bring loading forward by a day.
