How does the Pilsen → Munich route run?

We use two routes from Pilsen to Munich. The main one follows the D5 via Rozvadov–Waidhaus, then the A6 and A93 via Regensburg and the A9 into Munich – about 300 km and 3.5–4 hours of driving. The shorter route via Klatovy, Železná Ruda (Bayerisch Eisenstein) and Deggendorf crosses the Bohemian Forest and is mainly used for eastern Bavaria.

In winter we prefer the motorway route via Rozvadov because of the weather and the climbs in the Bohemian Forest.
