How does the Prague → Vienna route run?
We use two routes from Prague to Vienna. Via the D1 to Brno, then the D52 through Mikulov and the Austrian A5, it is about 330 km and a truck needs 4–4.5 hours. The shorter route via Jihlava and Znojmo, crossing at Hatě–Kleinhaugsdorf and continuing on the S3 expressway, is around 300 km.
We choose the route according to current traffic on the D1 and the unloading point – for northern Vienna and the Weinviertel, the Znojmo route is the better option.
