Which tolls and rules apply in Poland?

  • Tolls: Poland charges the distance-based e-TOLL for vehicles over 3.5 t on motorways, expressways and part of the national road network. Some sections of the A1, A2 and A4 motorways are run by concessionaires with their own toll collection.
  • Driving ban: vehicles over 12 t may not drive on public holidays during the day (08:00–22:00). In the summer season there are extra restrictions on Friday evenings, Saturday mornings and Sundays.
  • Currency: Poland uses the złoty; this has no effect on invoicing between companies.
