What is the route from the Czech Republic to the Netherlands?
We reach the Netherlands through Germany. From Prague the route follows the D5 and A6 to Nuremberg, then the A3 via Würzburg, Frankfurt and Cologne to the border at Emmerich, or the A40 to Venlo. Rotterdam is about 900 km from Prague, Amsterdam around 880 km, and roughly 200 km more from Brno.
For the north of the Netherlands (Groningen, Zwolle) we also drive via Dresden, Leipzig and Hanover, crossing at Bad Bentheim. The border lies inside Schengen and the shipment usually reaches the consignee within 2 days of loading.
Where we go in the Netherlands – industrial centres
We most often head to these cities and industrial areas with manufacturing and automotive companies:
- Amsterdam – logistics, trade
- Rotterdam – largest port in Europe
- Eindhoven – Philips, ASML
- Utrecht – distribution
- Tilburg – distribution centres
- The Hague – institutions
- Venlo – logistics hub
- Breda – production
- Arnhem – logistics
What do we transport to the Netherlands?
To the Netherlands we carry engineering products and parts for high-tech manufacturing around Eindhoven, building materials, packaging and palletised goods for distribution centres in Venlo, Tilburg and Moerdijk. A large share of shipments goes for export through the port of Rotterdam.
Dutch logistics centres work with fixed unloading time slots. We agree the slot with the consignee in advance, and for containers to the port we watch the terminal cut-off.
Which tolls and rules apply in the Netherlands?
- Tolls: since 1 July 2026 the Netherlands charges a distance-based truck toll for vehicles over 3.5 t (vrachtwagenheffing) on motorways and selected roads. It replaced the Eurovignette.
- Driving ban: the Netherlands has no weekend truck ban. Sundays and public holidays only affect German transit.
- Environmental zones: many Dutch cities have environmental zones for trucks and are introducing zero-emission zones for deliveries – for city centres we choose the vehicle by emission class.
- Ports: containers in Rotterdam are released only against the shipping line's release and PIN code.
What do we transport from the Netherlands to the Czech Republic?
From the Netherlands to the Czech Republic we mainly carry goods from containers discharged in Rotterdam, food, electronics and engineering parts. We load all over the country – most often in Rotterdam, Venlo, Eindhoven and Tilburg.
We also run the return direction. For shipments to Czechia see Freight transport from the Netherlands to the Czech Republic.
