Route, transit time and what affects it
From Catalonia and Valencia we take the AP-7 via La Jonquera into France, then via Lyon and Strasbourg. From the north and the Basque Country via Irún and Bordeaux. Distances: Barcelona–Prague about 1,800 km, Madrid–Prague 2,300 km, Seville–Prague 2,800 km.
Keep in mind: France bans trucks over 7.5 t from Saturday 22:00 to Sunday 22:00, and Spain restricts some roads on public holidays. We therefore plan Friday pickups so the truck gets through France in time. French and Spanish motorway tolls are included in the price.
How the import works
- Send us the supplier's address in Spain, quantity and required date.
- Within 30 minutes you get a price for the import from Spain and a proposed loading date.
- During transport you know where the truck is, and we confirm the unloading time the day before.
- After delivery you receive the signed CMR consignment note.
Full truckloads and single pallets
For large volumes we arrange a full truck (33 Euro pallets, 24 t). Smaller shipments go as a part load or join a groupage run — you pay only for the space they take. Chilled goods travel in a reefer trailer with monitored temperature.
Documents and customs
Spain is in the EU, so goods are not cleared through customs — an invoice and a CMR note are enough. One exception: the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla are outside the EU customs territory, so shipments from there need customs clearance. Wine and spirits need an excise accompanying document.
