For the Czech Republic, the Netherlands is above all a gateway to the world. A large share of goods from Asia and overseas arrives via Rotterdam, Europe's largest port, and around Venlo there are distribution centres that supply all of Central Europe. We also carry chilled goods from the Netherlands — flowers, plants and vegetables.
Where we load in the Netherlands — and what comes from where
- Rotterdam — Europe's largest port: we collect container goods from the cross-dock or warehouse and deliver them to you.
- Venlo and Limburg — one of Europe's largest logistics hubs, distribution centres of online shops and manufacturers.
- Eindhoven and Veldhoven — high-tech: ASML, Philips, DAF trucks; electronics and machine parts.
- Amsterdam, Schiphol and Aalsmeer — air freight, Royal FloraHolland flower auction.
- Westland — greenhouse vegetables and plants, carried chilled.
- Tilburg and Brabant — logistics centres.
Route and transit time
From the Netherlands we drive through Germany — from Rotterdam and Venlo on the A3 via Cologne and Frankfurt, from the north on the A2/A30. Rotterdam–Prague is about 900 km, and goods usually reach you in 1–2 days. Mind the German truck ban on Sundays and public holidays — we plan Friday pickups so the truck reaches the Czech Republic on Saturday. Since 1 July 2026 the Netherlands charges a truck toll (vrachtwagenheffing); it is included in the price.
How the import works
- Send us the supplier's address in the Netherlands, quantity and required date.
- Within 30 minutes you get a price for the import from the Netherlands and a proposed loading date.
- During transport you know where the truck is, and we confirm the unloading time the day before.
- After delivery you receive the signed CMR consignment note.
Full truckloads and single pallets
For large volumes we arrange a full truck (33 Euro pallets, 24 t). Smaller shipments go as a part load or join a groupage run — you pay only for the space they take. Chilled goods travel in a reefer trailer with monitored temperature.
Documents and customs
The Netherlands is in the EU, so goods are not cleared through customs. If goods are only just arriving in Rotterdam from overseas and have not yet been released into free circulation, a customs agent must clear them first — your supplier or their agent at the port handles that, and we take over from there.
