Calculate transport cost

Why we don't publish a fixed price list

Freight is not a product with a price tag. The same route can cost differently depending on whether the vehicle returns loaded, how fast the cargo has to arrive and what exactly is being carried. A fixed list would either overcharge you or simply not reflect reality. That is why we price every job individually.

What affects the price

  • Distance and route — the basis of the calculation
  • Vehicle type — van, rigid truck or articulated lorry; a refrigerated unit costs more than a curtain-side
  • Weight and dimensions — oversized cargo needs a different vehicle and sometimes permits
  • Pallets or loading metres — groupage suits small consignments, a full load suits larger ones
  • Deadline — express delivery within 24 hours costs more than a standard date
  • Tail lift — when there is no loading ramp on site
  • Return load — a vehicle returning empty pushes the price up
  • Destination country — tolls and local rates differ

How much does pallet transport cost

With pallet shipments you pay for the space your cargo occupies, not per pallet. What matters is the pallet count and the loading metres (LDM) — a curtain-side trailer holds 34 euro pallets, that is 13.6 LDM.

  • One to three pallets — groupage or a part load; you pay only for the space used
  • Four to ten pallets — part load, charged by loading metres
  • Over ten pallets — a full truck load (FTL) is usually better value

The exact figure for your pallet count appears in the calculator.
