International Road Freight across Europe

Knapek Spedition arranges international road transport from the Czech Republic to 24 European countries. We work with a network of vetted, insured carriers and provide the most suitable vehicle for each route.

Countries we cover regularly

Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria and the Baltic states are our most frequent destinations. Less common routes — Scandinavia, Portugal, the Balkans — are available on request.

Transit times

Standard transit times: Slovakia and Austria 1 day, Germany and Poland 1–2 days, Italy and the Netherlands 2–3 days. Express options are available for time-critical shipments with defined delivery windows.

CMR documentation

Every international shipment we organise is covered by a CMR waybill. We prepare the documentation, liaise with the carrier and ensure all mandatory fields are correctly completed. For non-EU destinations we coordinate the customs paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

Which countries do you serve?
Most often Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. Other European routes are arranged individually.
Is regular transport abroad possible as transport there and back?
Yes. For regular transport abroad we agree fixed loading days and, if you wish, transport there and back so the vehicle does not return empty. Regular shipments run at a rate agreed for a longer period.
Does the calculator price abroad too?
Yes, enter the foreign address as the destination and the calculator gives an indicative price.
Do you deliver to the recipient abroad?
Yes, we deliver straight to the destination address.
How long does international transport take?
We confirm the timing based on the specific route and vehicle availability when preparing the offer.
Are there truck driving bans abroad?
Yes. Germany, Austria, France, Italy and other countries ban trucks at weekends and on public holidays. We plan loadings around them – see our driving ban calendar for an overview.
Are foreign tolls included in the price?
Yes, tolls in every country on the route are included in the quoted price.
Do I need customs clearance within the EU?
No. Goods in free circulation in the EU travel without customs – an invoice and a CMR note are enough. Clearance only applies to goods from non-EU countries.
Do you also arrange imports into the Czech Republic?
Yes, we arrange imports from EU countries into the Czech Republic just like exports – from a single pallet to a full truckload.
Do you offer express transport?
Yes, in express we arrange a vehicle the same day and the shipment goes direct without transhipment.
Is the shipment insured?
Yes. In international transport the carrier is liable under the CMR Convention, in domestic Czech transport under the Czech Civil Code. For higher-value goods we arrange additional cargo insurance.
What documents do I need for transport?
For international transport a CMR consignment note, which we issue ourselves; for domestic Czech transport a delivery note is enough. For customs shipments we help with the documentation.
How is the transport price calculated?
The price depends on distance, vehicle type, weight and volume, and extra services like tail lift or express.
How do I order transport?
Calculate the price in the calculator or call +420 722 311 499 – the dispatcher will arrange everything.
Do you offer return loads?
Yes, we often combine transport with a return load for a better price.
Can I track where my shipment is?
On request the dispatcher informs you of the location and estimated delivery time.
